Paul Mitchell Schools' nonprofit foundation, the Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation, recently announced that they will fund Sister Bonnie Steinlage's Franciscan Haircuts from the Heart program again this year.
The board of directors approved a $30,000 donation, making this the third straight year that Paul Mitchell Schools have contributed to the organization.
Sister Bonnie, a Franciscan Sister of the Poor, hairstylist, and salon manager, founded the Franciscan Haircuts from the Heart to provide professional hair care to the poor and homeless, nurturing their dignity and self-confidence one haircut at a time.
When she heard the news, Sister Bonnie wrote, "Thank you, thank YOU! THANK YOU AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS! What a relief! Words cannot express my and our clients' gratitude! I just came home from church-what an answer to my prayers."
