Paul McCartney Expected To Marry Soon

It has been rumored that Nancy Shevell, 48, a Hampton's socialite and her beau (and long time friend), Sir Paul McCartney, 67, are planning to wed as soon as her divorce to husband Bruce Blakeman is final.

Sir Paul and Nancy were seen together on Saturday, January 16th, at The Terrace, a West Hollywood restaurant.  Paul and Nancy had a casual lunch with Woody Harrelson and former Beatle Ringo Starr, 69 along with a few others.

The word is that Paul's children have given him their blessing for the ex-Beatle to marry Nancy because she is wealthy in her own right and comes from the proper social circles.

The couple met more than 20 years ago in the Hamptons. Bruce and Nancy Blakeman had a house near McCartney's estate. They summered together when Sir Paul was married to wife Linda and later to his ex-wife Heather Mills.

The two started dating in 2008, after Nancy and Bruce had separated, and McCartney had divorced Mills.

Linda and Paul were a devoted couple until she died of cancer in 1998. His relationship with Mills turned stormy not long after they married, although they did have a child together.

Sir Paul's other daughter, fashion designer Stella McCartney was said to never have liked Mills, and the divorce was bitterly played out in the tabloids.

But Nancy, has been greeted with open arms. Stella, 38, accompanied the couple on a recent Caribbean holiday.

"Nancy comes from a similar wealthy East Coast background to Linda and it makes everyone comfortable that she is clearly not after Paul's money,' a source told UK newspaper The People.

Shevall has also become a vegetarian, like Linda, and she also battled breast cancer like McCartney's first wife.

"Paul is deliriously happy with Nancy and decided she was the woman he wanted to make his third wife. They clicked from the moment they first met eyes.

"She is the complete opposite to Heather Mills and is only interested in Paul the person, not Paul the Beatle," a source said.
