Hair Secrets Of The Donald (aka Trump)

Rolling Stone Magazine had a recent interview with The Donald where the former presidential candidate and star of The Apprentice finally revealed how he gets that iconic hairstyle which everyone always talks about.

First and foremost it's important to note that it's not a combover.  The Donalds hair, according to some Trump watchers is one of the most attention-grabbing parts of his personality.

Why doesn't he change it?  Would you change your own personal signature?  Of course not.

Shampoo Of Choice - Head and Shoulders

Trump explained to Rolling Stone that he first washes his hair "with Head and Shoulders."  He doesn't dry it.

He lets it "dry by itself".  While his hair is air drying which he told the magazine takes "about an hour" he keeps busy reading "papers and things....I also watch TV."  So what does he watch on TV while his hair is drying?  "I love Fox, I like Morning Joe, I like that the Today show did a beautiful piece on me, relatively speaking."

Once his hair is washed and air dryed then he combs his hair.  The Donald told the magazine "Yes, I do use a comb."  Does he comb it forward?  "No, I don't comb it forward.  I actually don't have a bad hairline.  When you think about it, it's not bad.  I mean, I get a lot of credit for comb-overs.  But it's not really a comb-over.  It's sort of a little bit forward and back.  I've combed it the same way for years.  Same thing, every time."

There's still a few mysteries.  While The Donald doesn't do anything special to create that unique shape and it's not a combover, how is it cut?  Afterall, all of us in the hair world know the cut makes the hairstyle.  Is it layered?

Who Is The Donald's Hairstylist?

And who is his hairstylist?  A man who lives such an opulent lifestyle must have his own private celebrity hairstylist.  I know for a fact that his wife has celebrity hairstylists fly in from California to make sure she has picture perfect tresses.  Does Donald use the same hairstylists as his wife?

Even Oprah offered to give The Donald one of her famous makeovers but he declined.  Oprah and Donald got along well and the Trump family make a special appearance on Oprah to discuss this lives as Trumps.  Oprah had Donald in her studio.  She had the perfect opportunity to sedate him and let her long timer hairstylist, Andre Walker, fix up Donald's hair.

A Hair Makeover From Oprah?

So why didn't The Donald let Oprah do a hair makeover on him?  And why doesn't the star of The Apprentice use his hair as a task for his celebrities.  This past season the famed Farouk hair care company was one of the sponsors.   Each team had to put on a hair show with models and some of Farouks best hairstylists.  Why not have Mr. Trump be part of the hair show?  Can you imagine the ratings?

Of course I have endless hair questions I would ask the real estate mogul if I ever met him.

My questions?

How often does he wash his hair?

Does he use any type of styling cocktail? What products?

How does he keep that hair from flopping all over the place?  Does he use hairspray?

Is there any gray hiding in all that strawberry blonde?  If so, does he cover it? Himself or by a hair pro?

So many questions, so much hair, so little time.  Maybe someday all of The Donald's hair secrets will be completely revealed.
