A gorgeous Arielle Kebbel made a surprise appearance on CW's hit show, The Vampire Diaries, wearing a below-the-waist long blonde tresses.
Arielle was playing a 300 year young female vampire, Lexi, whose best friend is Stefan (Paul Wesley). It's made clear that Lexi and Stefan are just friends with absolutely no romantic entanglements.
It's also obvious that Lexi is very powerful and doesn't like Stefan's evil brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder). The feeling between Lexi and Damon is mutual. Neither likes the other much at all.

Lexi not only pops in to see her best friend, she is also in town "for one night only" to celebrate Stefan's 162nd birthday. Of course the title of the edgy episode is "162 Candles" to go along with the birthday theme.
I was so disappointed when Lexi met a shocking end during the episode because I think she would have been a fantastic addition to the already amazing cast.
Of course anything is possible with vampires so maybe the powers that be at CW and The Vampire Diaries can figure out a way to bring Arielle back for more. She was fantastic in her role.
As Stefan's best friend Lexi initially rubbed his intended, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), the wrong way because she appeared in a teeny towel at Stefan's house.
Elena was not thrilled and ran off without speaking to Stefan.
Eventually Lexi made nice with Elena and had a girl to girl talk with her . As a result of his supersized vampire hearing, Stefan managed to hear all the great advice Lexi bestowed on Elena and was grateful.
