Katherine McPhee has changed her hair color and hair length again.
She was spotted today wearing her newly short pixie styled hair in a new brunette hue with hints of auburn. Of course these days there's no telling whether Katherine is wearing a wig, hair extensions or a combination.
It really wouldn't surprise me if she was wearing a wig since so many celebrities are doing so these days.
Although, if she was trying to transition from her most recent platinum blonde to her original darker brunette, she would have to go through a similar color during transition from one end of the color spectrum to the other.

With the latest evolution in human hair wigs, celebrities are changing their hair color and style as quickly as their shoes.
Katherine recently popped up on Thursday, March 11th, as a guest star on the hit "Community" as a platinum blonde with a short layered bob. The former American Idol finalist mainly acted with Chevy Chase and Joel (McHale). She played Chevy's stepdaughter.
In an interview with Zap2it Katherine revealed she had originally talked to NBC about a role on "Trauma" after the show had already begun airing. She was up for a role as a new character. Although things didn't work out with "Trauma" she did eventually get the guest spot on "Community".
Katherine also was just cast in NBC's pilot "The Pink House". She's hoping to have a long term relationship with NBC and continue to expand into full time acting roles. She also hopes to balance her singing with her acting.
There's no word whether the show will be picked up or not although Katherine definitely wants to get cast in a regular acting role. Regardless how it impacts her hair color or style. Which is obvious now after all the changes she's been through recently.
